POSITION: Machine Operator (Rubber Mixing) #DFC021023 – 2
LOCATION: Benoni
REPORTING TO: Production Manager
JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: Operating Rubber Mixing and Calendaring machine according to given specifications.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Reads works orders and formulations defining types of materials to be mixed.
  • Reads mixing instructions as per rubber compounding sheet, (mixing cycles, temperature, and time).
  • Sets up, operate and charge equipment that mixes ingredients according to formulation.
  • Rubber calendaring/sheeting process as required by specification.
  • Attend and contribute to daily Green Area meetings.
  • House keeping.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade 12
  • Forklift License will be an advantage

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years’ production experience in Rubber Manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough experience in operating Rubber Mixing machines will be an added advantage.
