REPORTING TO: Business Leader for Operations & CFO

JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: Preparing and analysing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to guide decision-making.  This involves tasks like financial reporting, budget management, audit preparations, and tax compliance.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES): 

  • Recording, organizing & analysing of financial data and ensure correct classifications and allocation to reflect the accuracy of expenses and income
  • Prepare Balance Sheet Recons
  • Manage VAT Recons & statutory filing
  • Facilitate in Internal & External audits
  • Consolidation and reporting using current software
  • Assist and capturing budgets
  • Review & signoff all Creditots Recons
  • Release payments
  • Raise journals and manage journal register
  • Month End & YE Closure process
  • Adherence to internal controls & procedures
  • Manage a team
  • IFRS requirements(Lease & Revenue recognition)
  • Forecasting
  • Taxation

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Grade 12
  • BCOM ( Hons ) degree or higher
  • Certificate in Sage X3 or similar
  • Excel Intermediate to Advanced

 

EXPERIENCE: 

  • 3 years relevant experience required
