REPORTING TO: Technical Manager
JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: As a Mechanical Draughtsperson Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the R&D and engineering teams by producing accurate technical drawings. You will act as a liaison between the drawing office and the manufacturing team, while also contributing to the core activities of the R&D office and workshop.
You will collaborate closely with both the technical and R&D teams to assist in product development and provide support to the manufacturing team. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience at the intersection of engineering design and manufacturing.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
- Provide support to the Technical Team at DFC.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Relevant qualification in mechanical draughting.
- Familiarity in Autodesk Inventor 3D modelling software.
- Familiarity in 2D drawing Auto cad
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing is an advantage.
- Strong attention to details, ensuring accuracy.
- Supporting school portfolio.
EXPERIENCE:
- No work experience required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Microsoft office, mainly basic knowledge of Excel
- Understanding of financial accounting and costing principles

- Excellent computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Power point and Outlook)
